HIGHLANDERS is gearing up for an unforgettable day of fun and excitement as they host their much-anticipated Family Fun Day on Sunday.

The event is designed to raise funds for the club ahead of the new season while also bringing together members and supporters.

The festivities will take place at the Highlanders Clubhouse, where football lovers and families alike will unite to celebrate the spirit of the game and contribute financially to the club.

Highlanders have added a special twist to the event by featuring what promises to be an exhilarating football match between their current first-team players and club legends. This friendly yet competitive match is set to be a thrilling spectacle, bringing fans of all ages closer to the players who have shaped the club’s rich history.

Some of the former players who have confirmed their participation include Simon Sibanda, Netsai Moyo, Graham Ncube, Lindani Kurairwa, Mpumelelo Moyo, Castro Ndebele, Thokozani Dube, Herbert Dick, Mavuto Rocky, Jerry Sibanda, Oliver Ncube, and Siza Khoza. Nozibelo Maphosa, the club’s communications officer, said they are looking forward to a day filled with fun.

“The whole purpose of the Family Fun Day is to raise money for the club, but equally important, it’s about socialising as the Highlanders family before the start of the new season. This will be a family-friendly environment, and we expect our fans to bring their families along for a good time together. There will be plenty of entertainment, and we are inviting everyone to come along,” said Maphosa.
