Bosso meet Filabusi fans

Ngqwele Dube, Sports Correspondent
HIGHLANDERS fans in Filabusi, Matabeleland South had the opportunity to meet up players and the technical team yesterday as the team made its way to Zvishavane for today’s encounter against Shabanie Mine at Maglas Stadium.

The Highlanders Filabusi Supporters Chapter organised a luncheon for the team which presented a chance for fans in the vicinity to engage and have photo moments with their favourite players. There was excitement at Vulindlela Beer Garden at Filabusi Centre as fans mingled with the players and coaches with many vowing to make the trip to Maglas as Highlanders seek to pick up the pieces after a poor showing in their mid-week fixture against Bulawayo City that saw them go down 2-1.

The chapter’s secretary, Nkululeko Mkhwananzi, said they would continue providing assistance to the team whenever they pass through Filabusi. He said some fans struggle to travel to stadia to watch games hence the luncheon provided them with a chance to see the players they only get to hear about in the media.

Mkhwananzi said Bulisani “Cover” Tshuma, who runs Vulindlela assisted them materially in hosting Bosso. Other members of the chapter’s executive present included chairman Stephen Moyo, vice-chairman Lameck Ndlovu, treasurer Precious Khumalo and committee member Joram Nhliziyo.
