HIGHLANDERS FC coach Baltemar Brito has admitted the mood in the camp has improved following his team’s 2-0 win over Yadah Stars last Sunday.
The victory came after two consecutive losses to FC Platinum and Chicken Inn.
There was also the abandoned tie against Dynamos at a time when Bosso were trailing 2-0.
They needed to win against Yadah to regain their confidence and they did just that.
Up next for Bosso is Hwange at the Colliery tomorrow.
Ahead of the tie, Brito revealed the players were depressed after their poor run.
“Preparing for a game after a win is different. The smiles are different. The people receive new information better. When you win there are fewer arguments within the team. When we were losing the players were a bit sad.
“We as coaches know at times like that we should be their protection, losing doesn’t mean what we were doing was bad. So we try to protect them at that time. Now another fixture has come, if they can get a win it’s a good moment for them,” said Brito.
Brito is impressed with his team’s preparations for the Colliery clash.
“The preparations for the game against Hwange have been normal. The players are doing very well. They are very serious about their job like they were in the past. Because even when we were losing the three games it doesn’t mean we were not serious or we did not prepare well. Everyone in the club is serious about finishing in a better position than last season.
“We go to Hwange, we know they are fighting relegation. They are fighting to collect points. They are playing at home which is a boost for them. We go there to fight and show that what we were doing from day one is good work. We have to create a mindset for the game knowing it is not going to be easy as we have to go there and collect three points,” said Brito.
