HIGHLANDERS coach Kelvin Kaindu has rallied his team to secure a positive result against Greenfuel at Barbourfields Stadium on Sunday, despite a tumultuous few weeks.

The club is reeling from the loss of chief executive officer, Sihlangu Dlodlo, who died on Monday, and assistant coach Agent Sawu’s mother, who died last week.

Dlodlo will be laid to rest at Lady Stanley Cemetery tomorrow.

Striker Never Rauzhi is doubtful for the clash due to a family bereavement, and Kaindu acknowledged the challenging period.

“The past two weeks have been difficult. We’re still grieving, but as leaders, we must gather strength and move forward. The best way to honour our CEO’s memory is to fulfil our fixtures and aim for positive results.”

Bosso sit fifth on the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League table with 44 points from 30 games, 16 points behind leaders Simba Bhora.

FC Platinum are in second position with 54 points while Manica Diamonds are third with 47 points.

Defending champions Ngezi Platinum complete the top four with 46 points.

Kaindu emphasised the importance of ending the season on a high note.

Midfielder Malvin Sibanda has recovered from injury and is expected to return to the starting line-up soon.

However, the match may be played before a sparse crowd, as fans are organising another fundraiser “boycott” at the clubhouse on Sunday.

This follows the previous event, which raised US$9 900.

In other matches scheduled for this weekend, table toppers Simba Bhora will have their title credentials tested when they play host to CAPS United at Wadzanayi Stadium tomorrow, while Bulawayo Chiefs face Arenel in a Bulawayo derby at Luveve Stadium.

Another big one for the weekend is the clash pitting Dynamos and FC Platinum at Rufaro Stadium on Sunday.
