HIGHLANDERS get into the field at Sakubva Stadium this afternoon fully aware that a loss against Buffaloes will not only be unacceptable but a record.
Buffaloes are winless in three games and Bosso would not want to be the first side to donate a point or points to the former military outfit who were deserted by legendary Moses Chunga.
Amahlolanyama, under Bongani Mafu, arrived in Mutare yesterday afternoon and spent almost two hours in a bus as their rooms were locked.
When they were finally opened, it was discovered they were dirty and the boys had to wait once more to have them cleaned.
It is hoped this ill treatment will not distract the Bosso boys.
The players had earlier said they were fully prepared for the 90 minutes battle and coach Mafu said winning will never be negotiable.
“My friend, we’re here in Mutare for nothing but a win,” said Mafu in an interview yesterday.
He said Buffaloes were obviously desperate for points so the match will be tough.
“We certainly wouldn’t want to be the first club to donate points to Buffaloes who haven’t registered a point this season,” said Mafu.
He was confident that he had assembled a winning team although veteran Mthulisi Maphosa is out due to an injury.
Bosso strikers are yet to find the back of the net as their scores in the last two matches came from defenders Teenage Hadebe and Webster Chingodzo.
Ginger haired striker Thomas Chideu is yet to find the net although he had a good match against Hwange.
Many believe that once he finds the back of the net, it will be all systems go.
At White City Stadium this afternoon, winless Hwange take on Tsholotsho who have recorded just a single win in three matches.
Iziqholo zeZhwane chalked a 1-0 win over highly fancied Harare City.
Chipangano, who had a sudden and shocking change to their technical team are under pressure to get at least a point.
