Bosso snub Gamecocks’ Nasama

BULAWAYO football giants Highlanders reportedly snubbed ex-Chicken Inn forward King Nasama, a player who has since signed for ZPC Kariba to beat the country’s second transfer window deadline.

The month-long second transfer window opened on 1 July and it closed on Wednesday.

Two weeks ago, Bosso appeared close to having Nasama join them on a loan deal and according to Gamecocks secretary-general Tawengwa Hara, the deal could not materialise as the Bulawayo giants did not make a follow-up after tabling an offer for the player’s services.

“Nasama briefly trained with Highlanders before he was told to stop after the club had tabled an offer for his services. The boy didn’t want to play for a club based outside Bulawayo. He seriously wanted to join Highlanders but he became impatient and decided to join ZPC Kariba,” said Hara.

Interestingly, Nasama, who was not registered by Chicken Inn for the 2019 season, was last weekend on target in his debut match for ZPC Kariba when they drew two-all against Mushowani Stars.

The ex-Dynamos and Zimbabwe Under-20 striker reportedly joined ZPC Kariba on a $6 000 loan deal.

Before the closure of the second transfer window, Bosso registered 24 senior and three junior players, leaving a slot for one senior player and two Under-20 players to complete the 30-man squad.
