Bosso supporters abort demo

Senior Sports Reporter
DISGRUNTLED Highlanders supporters yesterday aborted a planned demonstration aimed at disrupting the club’s weekly review meeting after the executive brought it forward to 1PM instead of the scheduled 5PM. It is suspected that the executive got wind of the planned demonstration by the supporters, who are seething over the team’s poor run that has left the club needing at least 13 points from their last six games to survive the chop.

Bosso recorded their 10th loss of the season following a 1-3 defeat to Caps United at the giant National Sports Stadium. A message circulating through social media platform WhatsApp called on supporters to gather at the Bosso offices at 4:30PM. “People, there is a march at the Bosso offices, 4th Avenue and Robert Mugabe Way. Let us disrupt the Monday meeting and send a message to the executive and board to leave our Bosso now. Ayihlome Ihlasele,” read the message.

When Chronicle Sports arrived at the offices just before 5PM, chairman Peter Dube was driving off and moments later the office gate was padlocked.
