Bosso to keep an eye on Simba, Dynamos clash

HIGHLANDERS coach Kelvin Kaindu suggests they will have one eye on the game pitting Simba Bhora and Dynamos tomorrow as it is likely to have an impact on their game against Ngezi Platinum on Sunday. Interestingly, Barbourfields Stadium will be the venue for the two big clashes.

Dynamos will host Simba Bhora in Bulawayo as their traditional home ground, Rufaro Stadium is booked for the preparations of the Defence Forces celebrations to be held at there next Tuesday.

Simba Bhora are top of the table with 43 points from 22 games. FC Platinum are a point behind Simba Bhora while Highlanders and Ngezi Platinum are seven and six points behind the leaders respectively.

Both Ngezi and Highlanders know that any dropping of points by Simba Bhora will be an opportunity for them to reduce the gap at the top hence, the game draws attention from both teams who square off on Sunday.

Asked if the result from the Simba and Dynamos game could have an impact on their game the next day, Kaindu said: “It could be an advantage or disadvantage to play after other games have been played. It is good that the fixture is being played in Bulawayo where we will have the opportunity to watch them (Simba Bhora) play and we will plan for our game against them from the outcome of that game.”

Kaindu hopes the team will build up from their previous victory against Chegutu Pirates.

“I think credit should go to the team. Playing Chegutu Pirates away from home is not an easy fixture. Also we played at the home ground of Ngezi Platinum which means they got to watch how we play. I am sure they have planned according to the way we played and we are also anticipating to get a better performance at home where l think we have struggled a bit especially with teams that are on the bottom side of the log but we are just one point behind Ngezi and l think it’s going to be a big game. I think a victory for any team will move them up the table,” said Kaindu.

In other games, Bulawayo Chiefs will welcome Bikita Minerals at Luveve Stadium while Yadah Stars meet TelOne at Heart Stadium.

The Colliery Stadium will be the venue for the game between Hwange and Chegutu Pirates in what will be a repeat of the Chibuku Super Cup preliminary at Mandava Stadium during the week.
