Bowlers for SA tourney

Sports Reporters
BOWLS Association of Zimbabwe president Malcom Evans believes the chances look bright for local athletes who will participate at this year’s Quadrangular tournament in South Africa.

Zimbabwe will send 10 participants to the tournament, which runs from July 28-30 at Edenvale Bowling Club in Johannesburg.

This year’s edition of the Quadrangular is going to feature Zimbabwe, Namibia, South Africa and South Africa Junior.

The first quadrangular series held in Namibia in 2014 was won by the Zimbabwean men’s team.

Zimbabwe have also qualified for the World Championships, which are going to be held during the first two weeks of December 2016 in Christchurch, New Zealand.

The ladies team qualified after 16 years.
