Boy found hanging from tree

His body was discovered by passersby at the corner of Main Street and Peard Avenue.
The boy, who was wearing a pair of grey school trousers and a cream shirt, is believed to have committed suicide on Friday                            night.

“Two men and a woman found him already dead and stopped a police vehicle, which was passing through the scene,” said a newspaper vendor who happened to be near the scene when the police arrived.

Acting Bulawayo police spokesperson Assistant Inspector Precious Simango confirmed the incident.
“We have since opened a sudden death docket and we are still investigating the matter, which appears to be a case of suicide.

“Since the identity of the boy is unknown we are appealing to members of the public to assist us by reporting any missing persons to help solve this case,” said Asst Insp Simango.
