Boys Dzamdhara promotes youth empowerment

AN empowerment youth lobby group, Boys Dzamdara, will carry out a number of activities across the country to promote youth participation in the national economy in line with Vision 2030.

The lobby group is targeting youths ranging from 15 to 35 years to ensure that they are well versed with Government policies.

The empowerment group’s chairman, Mr Hopewell Chako, said his organization will carry out a number of activities to promote youth participation in the economy. “We aim to support young visionaries who are creative and have innovative ideas and feasible community-driven projects,” he said.

Boys Dzamdara, he said, also assists youth with funding for various projects.

“We are assisting youths with funding, especially those who want to venture into various projects. The group consists of young people who have benefited under the Second Republic. President Mnangagwa is saying no one should be left behind, let’s be business minded. Let’s build our country together,” said Mr Chako.

 “We are saying let’s support Government programmes as the youth. Let’s have an inclusive and empowered generation of young professionals in support of the national vision.

“This organization will work with young people in business to support President Mnangagwa’s vision through the Government policies and stipulated laws.

“We will also host seminars to inculcate business acumen in the young generation.

The lobby group will also move around the country educating the younger generation about the dangers of drug and substance abuse,” he said.President Mnangagwa has come up with various initiatives to promote youth participation in national development.The President is on record saying the youths should lead Zimbabwe’s pursuit of becoming an upper-middle-class economy by 2030 as they are key agents of transforming the country and driving sustainable economic growth and development.
