“Million Minutes of Peace, Write to God, Meditation Retreats, Resonance Retreats for Musicians, Heal the World Initiative and Pause 4 Peace, are some of the successful programmes and projects that we have conducted, to increase the awareness of practical virtues and values in life.
From its beginning in Lusaka, Zambia, on 2 October 1974, the Brahma Kumaris have reached a memorable milestone of the 50th year of its continuous service in Africa. To celebrate this significant achievement, we are organising several events, across our branches in Africa, until 2 October 2024.
The theme for the 50th is “Love, Peace and Unity — Key to Success”.
“In Zimbabwe, we are in the process of arranging a variety of events, workshops, talks and programmes to showcase this theme to the people of our nation.
The main event, open to the public, will be held at the Zimbabwe Academy of Music, Bulawayo on 24 June 2024, from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm. Our world-renowned motivational speaker for the Brahma Kumaris, Sis Shivani, will be present and speak at this event,” said Urvashi Vithal on behalf of the organisation in a statement.
