A BRAVE mother, who suffered severe burns while trying to save her twin babies when a stove caught fire, has received some goods to cheer her spirits.

Tracy Kaviya, 29, suffered serious burns when hot cooking oil splashed onto her legs.

“I dashed to pick my twin babies. One of my children disturbed the pan on the stove and I got scalded,” Tracy said.

“None of my children were injured and I am happy that I managed to save them from the inferno.”

Tracy is nursing her injuries at Chitungwiza Hospital.

The Katonha twins, Farai Lawyer and Tendai Mayor, visited Tracy, and her twin babies yesterday, and brought some goodies while promising to support the family.

“We are deeply moved by her courage, resilience and determination despite the difficult circumstances she is facing,” the twins said.

“During this difficult time, we stand in solidarity with her and her family, offering our support, encouragement and hope for her full and speedy recovery.

“We extend our heartfelt appreciation to the doctors, nurses and all healthcare workers at Chitungwiza Hospital for their dedication, professionalism and compassionate care.”

The twins urged community members to keep Tracy in their prayers and to offer help where possible.

“We wish her strength, healing and a complete recovery so that she can return home to her twins and loved ones,” the Katonha twins said.
