Breaking: Chief Bakwayi of Matobo district passes away

THE Matabeleland South community has been plunged into deep mourning following the passing away of Chief Bakwayi (84) of Matobo district Ward 13 in Bulawayo on Sunday afternoon.

The traditional leader passed away following a short illness.

Chairperson of the Provincial Chiefs Council, Chief Tshitaudze, confirmed the death and expressed his condolences to the entire Matabeleland South community and the traditional leader’s immediate family.

Matobo district with seven Chiefs, is a highly significant area rich in cultural history, wildlife, and natural heritage.

Funeral arrangements are yet to be announced.
