SEVERAL Highlanders Football Club fans are feared dead following a road traffic accident near Mbalabala along the Bulawayo-Gwanda Highway on Sunday night.
The accident reportedly occurred as supporters were returning to their destinations after watching Highlanders take on Herentals in a league match.

Details surrounding the crash were still sketchy, with the number of people involved and confirmed casualties yet to be established.
Sources said the vehicle carrying the fans was involved in the accident near Mbalabala, raising fears that some of the supporters may have lost their lives.
Police were reportedly attending the scene.
The incident comes barely a month after Highlanders lost four members of its family in a tragic road accident along the Harare-Bulawayo Highway.
Highlanders chairman Retired Colonel Kenneth Mhlophe, vice-chairman Sifiso Siziba, finance executive Nkani Khoza and supporter Mbalenhle Sibanda died in the July accident.
More details on Sunday’s accident were expected as police and other authorities continued investigations.
