SIX people died and several were injured on Wednesday morning when a Hungwe Tours bus overturned while trying to negotiate a traffic circle near Fairmile Hotel in Gweru.

The bus was coming from Francistown in Botswana, headed for Harare. Of the six confirmed deaths, one is a baby.

Officer commanding Gweru District, Chief Superintendent Leon Marongedza, confirmed the accident.

“I can confirm that six people, including a child, died when a bus they were traveling in overturned after the driver failed to negotiate a traffic circle. Investigations are underway,” he said.
