The second nine saw the De Jonge birding hole 13 and 17 to finish on five-under with the rest being pars.

Now sitting on US$121 436 in earnings this season only, the burly golfer is showing early season form and could make his breathrough US PGA career win.

Meanwhile, Borrowdale Brooke will tomorrow host the inter-schools’ golf tournament.
Several schools, including St George’s College, Peterhouse and Hillcrest, are expected to take part.
