THE Commander of the Zimbabwe National Army, Lieutenant-General Asher Walter Tapfumaneyi, has announced the death of Brigadier-General (Retired) Albert Jack Nyamuronda.

He was 67.

Brig-Gen (Rtd) Nyamuronda died on August 11, 2026 at Chitungwiza Central Hospital.

He was born in Makoni North District, Manicaland Province, under Chief Chikore.

Brig-Gen Nyamuronda is survived by his wife and four children.

Mourners are gathered at House Number 14565, Zengeza 3 Extension, Chitungwiza.

Further details on funeral arrangements will be announced in due course.
