A woman told a court in Harare that her brother-in-law is in the habit of pouring urine on clean floors at their home.

Lucy Sabau appeared before the Harare Civil Court seeking a peace order against her brother-in-law,

Sylvester Rapu, due to his alleged disturbing behaviour.

She claimed that Sylvester has a habit of pouring urine on the clean floors, including an incident on August 3, when he also placed rubbles in her kitchen.

“He urinates in a bucket at night and in the morning, he takes the bucket and pours it on the floor after l am done cleaning the house.

“On August 3, he got rubbles and placed them in my kitchen.”

Lucy further alleged that Sylvester threatened to kill her with a knife, failed to contribute to household bills, and verbally abused her.

“He threatens to kill me with a knife and does not pay money for the bill, yet he yells at me.

“He tells me that l am useless.”

In response, Sylvester denied the allegations, stating that Lucy was fabricating lies to gain control over the house.

He claimed that he does not bring dirt into the house and contributes to its upkeep.

“She is lying to the court because she wants to gain power over the house. I do not bring dirt in the house and she wants to gain power through the peace order.

“I contribute to the upkeep of the house.”

Magistrate Meenal Naratom granted Lucy’s request for a peace order.
