BRUNETTE Makanyiso continues to strengthen her Miss World campaign after delivering a strong showing during the latest ‘‘Beauty With a Purpose’’ activities in Vietnam.
The Zimbabwean beauty was among the 111 Miss World contestants who came together for a powerful day of charity, compassion and community service at the Khánh Hòa Children’s Cultural Palace.
The event gave the contestants an opportunity to step away from the competitive spotlight and embrace one of the most important pillars of the Miss World Organisation — ‘Beauty With a Purpose.’
Brunette was part of the international contingent that joined Miss World Opal Suchata, Julia Morley CBE, the Miss World Organisation, Omoda & Jaecoo Vietnam, Sen Vang and partners in supporting disadvantaged children and young people in Khánh Hòa Province.
A total of VND200 million in cash assistance and gifts was presented to 200 disadvantaged children, pupils and students from across the province.
For Brunette, the event represented more than another appearance on the Miss World calendar.
It was an opportunity to demonstrate the qualities expected from a modern Miss World contestant — compassion, empathy, confidence and a willingness to engage with communities.
Her participation has added momentum to what has been an increasingly promising campaign for the Zimbabwean representative.
The ‘Beauty With a Purpose’ programme is particularly significant within the Miss World competition because it shifts the focus from appearance to impact.

The 111 contestants appeared in specially created áo dài, Vietnam’s iconic traditional dress, designed by Nguyễn Việt Hùng.
The creations were inspired by doves of peace and the waves of the sea, symbolising peace, compassion and unity.
Each contestant received a specially designed áo dài to wear during the charity event.
For Brunette, the Vietnamese-inspired fashion moment offered another opportunity to embrace the culture of the host country while representing Zimbabwe on an international platform.
The event also demonstrated the strength of the Miss World sisterhood, with contestants from across the globe joining hands around one cause.
While the competition remains intense, ‘Beauty With a Purpose’ provided a reminder that Miss World is not simply about who looks the best on the final night.
It is about who can use the platform to create meaning beyond the stage.
And Brunette appears to be making that message part of her campaign.
Her journey in Vietnam has already seen her participate in various activities, challenges and engagements as she continues to carry Zimbabwe’s hopes at the 75th anniversary edition of Miss World.
With the grand finale approaching, every appearance matters.
The Zimbabwean queen now finds herself in the conversation among African contestants making their mark at the festival, with her latest ‘Beauty With a Purpose’ showing adding another positive chapter to her campaign.
