MALAWI is the latest frontier for Buffs as he seeks to colonise the whole of Africa with his blend of dancehall.
Buffalo Souljah, as most know him in music circles, was recently in Malawi in search of that countryas flavour for his My Lady video shoot.
The video will debut this Friday on MTV Base, Channel O, Trace TV and Sound City.
Its release follows his lofty plan to roll out the single, a prelude to his album proper, in over 25 countries.
Initially he had planned to get the single playlisted in all 54 countries in Africa and countless others around the world, as he tries to put together a release plan to rival some of the worldas most established artistes.
a?As you know the My Lady single was released to over 25 radio stations in 25 different countries in Africa, UK, the US, Ireland and more so we also tried make sure the video reaches these same countriesa local TV stations with My Lady video world premiere,a? he said.
Malawias landscape took his breath away.
a?I decided to shoot the video in Malawi because during my Malawi tour I was taken by Lake Malawias Caribbean look so I decided to shoot the video over there,a? he said.
Buffs added that he had used local Malawian talent, as he did not want his relationship with that country to go beyond the mere making of one video.
For that, the best way to cap it up is to use local talent.
a?I also decided to empower local talent in Malawi so for the production we used top producers that side, HD Plus, who shot the video on 4K full HD,a? he said. .
