Chronicle EditorGospel star Buhle Nhlangulela is officially off the market. The singer who released her third solo album, Umthandazo, on Monday, is engaged.
She won’t reveal the identity of her husband-to-be, only to say that he comes from Newcastle in KwaZulu-Natal and works in the corporate world.
Nhlangulela told Sowetan that her man popped the question on Monday night while dining at a fancy Johannesburg restaurant with friends and a bishop from their church.
“When I got an urgent call to meet him at a restaurant I did not suspect anything,” she said.
“He then went down with one knee and said, ‘Bishop, I love this woman, that is why I am marrying her’.”
She was still on cloud nine yesterday.
The singer revealed that she has been dating her Mr Right since 2008 and that they met while she was performing at an event in Johannesburg.
“He asked for my number and kept calling me until I was convinced that this person really loves me. I could not say no because he is a dish. We started dating seriously in 2008, and we have been together since then.”— sowetan.
