Builder killed, 2 injured in wall collapse

A BUILDER was  killed, and two colleagues remain hospitalised, after a wall they were constructing  collapsed at a mining site in Chipinge District.

The deceased, Hapson Mhlanga (22), of Chief Garahwa, Chipinge, was struck on the head by a brick while working on the wall on Tuesday.

He was rushed to St Peter’s Mission Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries the following day.

Acting Manicaland police spokesperson Assistant Inspector Wiseman Chinyoka confirmed the incident, adding that Mhlanga’s colleague, Cleopas Mapeya (27), is in critical condition at Victoria Chitepo Provincial Hospital, while Peace Simango (25) is in stable condition at St Peter’s Mission Hospital.
