The shopping centre was designed to be the centre of retail activity in Bulawayo’s city centre.
There are 51 shop units on both ground and first floor levels, with both customer and trader parking in the basement.
The two levels are connected by four sets of escalators placed at convenient points throughout the centre, as well as two panoramic lifts, which also serve the basement.
All but five shops face onto one of the pedestrian walkways within the shopping centre. The anchor tenants are Shoprite Checkers, Truworths and Jet.
Knight Frank has a variety of other uses for the centre that include restaurant and pub, take-aways, movie houses, furniture and electronics among others.
There is a centre directory to help shoppers navigate through the shopping centre and security cameras have been placed at strategic points to beef up security.
The major walkways run north south and east west.
The escalators and lifts at the shopping centre allow for pedestrian circulation or shopper traffic to move freely without causing congestion.
Shoppers are encouraged to avoid the congestion at other outlets and take their families to Bulawayo Centre this Christmas.
Knight Frank, an international property management firm, manages Bulawayo Centre.
In a statement, Knight Frank said:
“Knight Frank would also like to wish all shoppers a Merry Christmas.”
