Bulawayo Chiefs appoint new Secretary General

BULAWAYO Chiefs have appointed Awakhiwe Nyoni as their new secretary general ahead of the 2024 season.

The team made this announcement on their social media. He replaces Dumisani Mantula Sibanda.

“We are pleased to introduce the new Secretary General of Bulawayo Chiefs FC, Awakhiwe Nyoni, also known as Sir Awah.

“Sir Awah brings a wealth of qualifications and experience to his new role, including a Bachelor of Science Education Honours Degree in Mathematics and Statistics, as well as two master’s degrees in education and operations research and statistics from the National University of Science and Technology (NUST).

“He is also an administrator and educator at an educational institution. Sir Awah is known for his honesty, hardworking nature, and self-motivation.

“He always seeks challenging opportunities where he can fully utilise his skills and expertise for the success and growth of the organisation he works in. Before his appointment as Secretary General, Sir Awah served as the Fans Chapter Chair- person for Bulawayo Chiefs, demonstrating his dedication to the club. We are confident that Sir Awah’s leadership and expertise will contribute to the continued success of Bulawayo Chiefs FC. Please join us in welcoming him to this new role,” the club wrote.

He is the latest addition to the team after they also re-hired coach Thulani Sibanda from relegated Triangle.
