MIDFIELDER Ayanda “Mzambia” Ncube is the latest addition to the Bulawayo Chiefs squad for the upcoming season.

The former Tsholotsho FC midfielder will reunite with coach Lizwe Sweswe whom he worked with at Tsholotsho FC and last season at Talen Vision in the Zifa Southern Region Division One league.

Ncube played for the Highlanders Under-13, 15, and 18, Division Two side, and Bessessa Academy before joining Tsholotsho FC.

He then joined Bessessa Academy teammates Thandolwenkosi Ncube and Butholezwe Ncube at Iziqholo zeZhwane in 2012.

During the early years of his career, Ncube was affectionately known by his peers as “Scara” a nickname given to him because of his ability to terrorise opponents with his dazzling footwork and great skills as the late South African talented Emmanuel Asanda “Scara” Ngobese.

He joins former Zimbabwe Warriors midfielder Danny Phiri and defender William Stima who have also been unveiled as Chiefs players.

Amakhosi Amahle have also secured the signature of striker Stanson Khanye who scored 19 goals in Division one last year. Khanye had been linked with a number of topflight clubs in the country.

Having lost the likes of the Moyo twins Elvis and Kevin as well as attacking midfielder Arthur Musiyiwa after the trio signed for Dynamos, goalkeeper David Bizabani now with Green Fuel, Lucky Ndlela who is likely to pen a deal with Triangle and forward Perfect Chikwende who made a return to FC Platinum, Sweswe has a huge task of rebuilding the team.
