THE Bulawayo Christian Soccer League will hold their end of season awards ceremony on December 7, league chairman Timothy Mandizadza has announced.

He said the BCL executive had a meeting last week and chose December 7 as the ideal date to present the awards.

“The executive met last week and agreed that the awards will be held on the said date which will be after the BCL Annual General Meeting,” said Mandizadza.

He said preparations for the event have already begun and the league management will meet prospective sponsors soon.

“We are having a meeting on Monday with the executive members and some sponsors to discuss preparations for the event,” he said.

Mandizadza said nominees for the awards are already in place and was happy with the selection adding that players deserve to be honoured for their perfomance throughout the season.

“It was a good season with 12 teams participating in the league with only one of the teams pulling out of the race. I was impressed with the way the players and teams handled themselves and those nominated deserve to be awarded,” said Mandizadza.

Champions of the BCL league Sangano Revapostori dominated, winning their fourth title in a row since 2011. Tinashe Mthikhulu of St Columba’s Parish will be getting the Top Goalscorer Award with 29 goals to his name.
