EXCITEMENT is building in Bulawayo as Battle Rival School International gears up for its pre-selection round, offering talented dancers a chance to showcase their skills and secure a spot in the finals in Harare.
The pre-selection round in Bulawayo is scheduled for September 16 at 2PM at the Alliance offices in 61 Heyman Road, Suburbs.
Alliance Francaise de Bulawayo director, Guillaume Ripaud said dancers who want to be part of this competition can register on the event’s website which can be found on their Facebook page.
“The event is open to the public, with free entry, and the audience’s support will play a crucial role in the judging process. Their participation will help the judges decide who will win and ultimately be sent to Harare for the final” he said.
The event kicks off with pre-selection rounds in Bulawayo, Pretoria (South Africa), and Lusaka (Zambia), providing talented singers and dancers with more opportunities to showcase their skills. Alliance Francaise is also involved in these pre-selection rounds.
The final round of Battle Rival School International will take place in Harare on 14 and 15 October. It promises to be a vibrant and energising event, showcasing the best talent in dance, music, and hip-hop.
With the expansion of the competition to different cities, the event aims to create a supportive and enjoyable environment for artists to give their best performances.
Alliance Francaise of Bulawayo is excited about the event and invites the public to be a part of the crowd, cheering on their favourite performers and contributing to the success of Battle Rival School International.
They hope the competition will be a huge success and wish all the participants the best of luck in reaching the final in Harare.
Battle Rival School International is an exciting event that celebrates dance, music, and hip-hop. The event is organised by Totengu, a French-Zimbabwean hip-hop dancer who has previously organized similar competitions in Paris and around the world.
This year, Totengu decided to expand the project and include pre-selection rounds in different cities. —@TashaMutsiba.
