Bulawayo hosts NASH ball games

NORTHLEA High School will play host to the National Association of Secondary School Heads (NASH) Under-20 handball championships beginning on Thursday.
Ten provinces will battle for the title.

The Under-20 boys’ team consists of Sandile Ncube, a 14-year-old player who was named the best player at the provincial games that they won after beating St Bernard’s.
Other members of the team are Thulani Moyo, Milanzsi Nyathi, Vusumuzi Gazumbi, Melusi Moyo, Descent Katsande, Nyasha Chadenga, Ashley Sibanda, Liam Holland, Benson Chikohora,

Nkosilathi Sibanda, Silandulo Ncube, Sibanda Nhlalwentsha Mlotshwa, Forget Sibanda, Mothokozisi Juba and Brandon Sambare.
The teams will come from Matebeleland South, Bulawayo, Manicaland, Midlands, Matebeleland North, Harare, Mashonaland Central, Masvingo, Mashonaland West, these include boys teams of

Northlea High, Hamilton High, Sodbury, Prince Edward, Wanezi, Inyathi, Cheziya High, Junction High, Rujeko, Chibi, St Augustine, Rusununguko and girls teams from Northlea, Nkulumane, Filabusi, Tongwe, Nyahonde, Donza, Nhlambabaloyi Secondary School, Mufakose 4, Rujeko, Kuwirirana, Mauya and Chemhondoro.

Speaking to the publication, the Northlea sports director Soweto Tasara said: “The teams did not do too well last year, the boys took position six and the girls were knocked out at group stage but they are quite prepared this time.”

Meanwhile, Hamilton High School is hosting a baseball tournament for both boys and girls.
