Bulawayo launches domestic tourism festive season campaign

THE Minister of Tourism and Hospitality Industry Barbara Rwodzi, launched the Bulawayo Metropolitan Province Domestic Tourism Festive Season Campaign yesterday, 19 December.

The event took place at the City Hall and Bulawayo is the final province to have the launch as part of a nationwide campaign.

In a statement, The Ministry of Tourism and Hospitality Industry said the primary objective of the campaign is to stimulate economic growth by promoting domestic tourism among residents and the Zimbabwean diaspora community during the festive season.

Minister Rwodzi said visitors to the Bulawayo province can explore the breath-taking Matobo National Park, marvel at the wildlife at Chipangali Wildlife Orphanage, experience the beauty of Tshabalala Game Sanctuary, and delve into the country’s history at the Natural History Museum and Khami Ruins.

Other attractions such as the Bulawayo Railway Museum, Nesbitt Castle, Bushman Safaris, and Matobo Hills offer unique experiences for travelers.
