A 52-year-old Bulawayo man has been fined US$140 for sending nude pictures and videos of his wife to his mother without her consent.

Bekezela Lusinga of Gwabalanda suburb was convicted by Western Commonage magistrate Mr Jeconia Prince Ncube for cyberbullying and harassment.

He was initially sentenced to pay a fine of US$140, in default of payment to serve two months in prison. The fine is payable today.

Prosecutor, Ms Cathrine Kuzu told the court that the accused person is the complainant’s husband.

She said that on January 25, 2026, at around 2.23PM, the accused person sent nude pictures and videos belonging to his wife, Beatrice Moyo (42), via WhatsApp to his mother without the complainant’s consent.

The court heard that the matter came to light on January 30, 2026, when the complainant saw the images and videos on her daughter’s cellphone after they had been sent to her by her cousin from the phone of the accused person’s mother.

This did not go down well with the complainant, who reported the matter, leading to the arrest of the accused person.
