Bulawayo Metro lands darts second top job

BULAWAYO Metropolitan Province chairman Collin Zvimbvatu has landed the second hottest job in Zimbabwe darts.

He was voted the National Darts Association of Zimbabwe (Ndaz) vice president in elections held in Chinhoyi at the weekend.

This was at the annual Ndaz Easter Holidays Championships, a permanent feature on the calendar.

At the same meeting, Ronald Chidanhamabwe of Mashonaland Central replaced Mennard Moyo as the national darts association president.

“My victory is for my province and every darts-loving Zimbabwean. I will not represent my own interests but those of the whole country. I have been a servant for Bulawayo Province; now I have been asked to help shape national darts. I will not achieve anything without the support of those I work with daily in my Bulawayo province. I would like to thank those who have entrusted the leadership to us,” said Zvimbvatu.

Zvimbvatu said his selection would not be a loss for Bulawayo darts.

“Bulawayo has benefitted in that they will have someone at the top of the darts landscape, who is a willing listener and a hard worker. I look forward to serving with honour and vigour,” said Zvimbvatu from Harare yesterday.

Zvimbvatu is happy with the performance of the Bulawayo team in Chinhoyi.

They were third in the national tournament.
