This was confirmed by fixtures secretary Precious Mudenge yesterday.
Unlike other tournaments which have been hosted by the association in the past, the competition will be a closed one and only the 10 affiliates of Zina Bulawayo Province are invited.
Mudenge said they were happy to partner GEOZING Pawn brokers who are the tournament sponsors.
“This year Zina Bulawayo Province has partnered with GEOZING Pawn brokers who will sponsor the event. They are paying for all administrative expenses as well as all the prizes to be won on the day,” Mudenge said.
The best team of the day will walk away with a netball kit and a floating trophy while the first runners-up will receive golf shirts. The team that will finish third will be rewarded with a ball as well as gift hampers for the whole team.
The association will also honour outstanding players of the day.
Morgan Donga the organising secretary for the association said they were humbled by the coming on board of GEOZING Pawn Brokers.
“As an association we are thrilled to have GEOZING Pawn Brokers in our corner and fervently hope this partnership will continue in the future.
“We encourage other corporate bodies to emulate them and consider sponsoring netball in Bulawayo,” Donga said.
The chairperson for Zina Bulawayo Province, Ruth Hove said the corporate world must give the girl child a chance.
“We are challenging the corporate world to support the girl child through sponsoring netball,” she said.
GEOZING is a growing company involved in pawn broking, car sales and car wash services.
