THE Bulawayo Provincial Pool Association (BPPA) has cracked the whip on clubs with outstanding affiliation fees, warning that they risk conceding walkovers from fixture 20 if they fail to settle their debts by Saturday.
In a final notice, BPPA treasurer Shepherd Moyo said all clubs with outstanding fees must settle their accounts in full by 11AM on Saturday, or face automatic walkovers.
The tough stance comes as fixture 20 gets underway, with the association making it clear that teams which remain in arrears will not be allowed to continue participating until their accounts have been regularised.

- “Any club that has not fully settled its outstanding affiliation fees by 11AM on Saturday will be deemed to have conceded a walkover for fixture 20 and all subsequent fixtures until the outstanding fees have been paid in full and the payment has been verified by the association,” Moyo said.
Clubs have also been ordered to submit proof of payment to the BPPA treasurer immediately after settling their outstanding fees.
The association described the latest communication as a final notice, leaving clubs with little room for manoeuvre as the deadline approaches.
BPPA said the measure was necessary to safeguard the integrity and smooth administration of the competition while ensuring that all clubs meet their financial obligations.
“Clubs are strongly urged to regularise their accounts without further delay to avoid walkovers and any associated consequences,” Moyo said.
The development is likely to add pressure on clubs still struggling to clear their affiliation bills, with Fixture 20 now carrying an added financial deadline beyond the battle on the pool tables.
