BULAWAYO’S queens, get your jerseys, tennis skirts and sunnies ready. The highly anticipated Doek and Slay is finally coming home.

After months of waiting, the all-women empowerment and entertainment extravaganza is set to explode at the ZITF Agricultural Society Grounds on 31 August, bringing with it star-studded performances and unapologetic vibes.

While previous editions rocked vintage fashion, this time it’s sports glam on the runway. Think jersey of your fave team, tennis skirts, jeans, sleek shades and a white headband or cap — sporty spice meets township glam.

Headlining the celebration are Zim dancehall king Killer T and crowd-puller Master H, guaranteed to bring the house down with hits that will have queens whining and vibing from dusk till late.

Doek and Slay has become a sanctuary for women, a bold and safe platform where they laugh, dance, network and uplift one another without interruption. From girl boss link-ups to deep heart-to-hearts, it’s where sisterhood meets slayage.

Organisers say the new date gives Bulawayo ladies more time to prep for a day of bold beauty, fierce fits and unforgettable moments.

And the movement is going global. A UK edition is already slated for 6 September, featuring ExQ, Feli Nandi and Intotalband, showing that wherever the queens are, Doek and Slay follows.
