Bulawayo, 17 July 2024 – The City of Bulawayo has announced that it will be installing new elevators at the Tower Block Municipal Building, starting on Thursday, 18 July 2024.

The project is expected to take approximately six months to complete.

During the installation process, the Municipal Building will only be accessible via stairs, the city council said in a statement on Wednesday.

“The City of Bulawayo wishes to apologise to its valued consumers for the inconvenience likely to be caused during this period,” the statement read.

The public has been advised to plan accordingly and use the stairs when accessing the Municipal Building over the next six months. The city council has expressed regret for the disruption this project may cause.
