It’s going to be no-holds-barred on 12 April when Harare and Bulawayo comedians square off for comedy supremacy at Hillside Walk in Bulawayo, in a show that promises to be the biggest belly-buster of the season.
Burg Comedy Club is pulling out all the stops for this electric showdown, with a city-versus-city comedy battle that will leave the audience in stitches — and settle the score once and for all: who’s got the better punchlines?

Opening the night will be debut four fresh-faced funny men — Slick Bishop, Brendon Mbofana, Reechy, and Christian — stepping onto the stage for the first time in a 30-minute warm-up act. Hosting the early birds will be none other than Mekayla, a rising star who got his own shot from the very same club.
Then the gloves come off.

The heavyweight comedy roster includes Tanya Alex, Eye Rafa, Patrick Zindoga, Chipenzi, Djuni, Ble, Sindiso, and CJ Zulu. Adding flair and fire to the night will be top hosts Frank Chirisa and Brandon Masuku, two of Zimbabwe’s brightest comedy stars.
“This battle between Harare and Bulawayo is going to be epic,” said Frank Chirisa.

“The comedians from both cities are bringing their A-game, and I’m excited to see who will come out on top. The audience can expect nothing less than a memorable night filled with laughter!”
Burg Comedy Club has recently stirred waves with its bold brand of comedy, fearlessly tackling hot-button topics like tribalism — sparking laughter and conversation.

As tensions rise and jokes sharpen, one question remains: which city will walk away with the bragging rights and the biggest laughs?
