Prosecuting, Mr Tafara Dzimbanhete told the court that on February 28 at around 11.58PM, police officers received information that Ncube was dealing in dangerous drugs at her residence.
Acting on the tip-off, the officers proceeded to her house where they found her in the bedroom. After introducing themselves and stating the purpose of their visit, the police officers conducted a search in the hut which Ncube used as her bedroom.
During the search, they recovered dagga wrapped in a black plastic paper that had been hung on the wall.
Ncube was asked to produce a permit or licence authorising her to possess the drugs but failed to do so, leading to her arrest.
The recovered dagga was taken to the Bulawayo Post Office for weighing and was found to weigh 119 grammes with an estimated street value of ZWG690, the court heard.
