A 27-year-old woman has set herself on a mission to change the community through empowering the vulnerable.

Precious Nyoni (27) said she started her philanthropic works which empower and engage women in 2016. She is leading initiatives such as She the Female which is aimed at empowering the girl child through personal development training to help them manoeuvre life as growing young women.

She is also set to lead another upcoming initiative which is the Elated Women’s Network which is a Christian community of women with an aim to economically empower women from all backgrounds in an attempt to address Gender Based Violence and mental health.

“Elated Women’s Network has to mother all other initiatives that my philanthropic work seeks to achieve. We aim to serve billions of people worldwide leaving no one and no place behind,” she said.

“She The Female” initiative was started in 2020 and the “Elated Women’s Network” is set to kick off in October this year.
Nyoni said “She the Female” initiative has been a self-funded initiative from the very onset and has 34 girls who are part of the online community for training.

“I have received recognition locally for this initiative and also got a partnership with a South African company that is into ending poverty through the manufacturing of menstrual caps so I can confidently say the initiative has made quite noticeable strides.

“Humanitarian work has been at the core of my heart from 2016 to date. The motivation being the high number of people living in poverty, especially in the African continent. Seeing many young people living in the streets and those without food touched my heart greatly,” she said.

Nyoni said although she has led many initiatives she still feels there is a lot that needs to be done to help the vulnerable in the community.
