HEADMAN Mazwaligwe (born Winner Moyo) has been installed, joining 14 other headmen in Bulilima District, Matabeleland South Province.
The district which has 22 wards, has six chiefs and these are: Chief Masendu, Chief Hikwa, Chief Manguba, Chief Kandana, Chief Madlambudzi and Chief Mphini.

Headman Mazwaligwe falls under the jurisdiction of Chief Masendu and his area covers six villages.

Addressing villagers during the installation ceremony last Wednesday, Chief Masendu said the installation of the new headman is expected to drive development in his area.
“The Second Republic launched Vision 2030 to chart a new transformative and inclusive development agenda to achieve an Empowered and Prosperous Upper Middle-Income Society by 2030,” he said.
Chief Masendu said the area under Headman Mazwaligwe has significant historical background leading to his appointment.

“According to the Traditional Leaders’ Act Chapter 29:17, a headman’s appointment is recommended by the chief of the area and therefore it must be known that Headman Mazwaligwe’s appointment was recommended by me,” he said. – @mthabisi_mthire.
