BULILIMA Rural District Council chairperson Councillor Land Ndebele has been elected as the new chairperson of the Communal Areas Management Programme for Indigenous Resources (CAMPFIRE).
He is deputised by Chipinge Rural District Council chairman, Alderman Godfrey Makuyana.
Clr Ndebele who is also Association for Rural District Councils Matabeleland South chairperson said it is an honour to take up such a position and he will ensure his role develops communities with CAMPFIRE activities.
“On June 12, 2025, l was elected to the position of acting chairman of the board of directors. It’s a nine-member board which consists of chairpersons of Rural District Councils.
“To achieve meaningful growth as communities we have to respect our wildlife, let’s build each other and use these resources to develop our areas for the betterment,” said Clr Ndebele.
“This is a milestone achievement for the province. This is a sign of grace. With grace anything can come. Something’s come because you are the one who did them but because you are there,” said Clr Ndebele.
