adminMaziwisa, who struck his 11th goal of the season, converted a penalty after he was fouled in the box by Mighty Bulls defender Godfrey Moyo in the 89th minute.
The striker calmed his nerves and scored from the spot to break the hearts of Motor Action who thought they had wrapped up the match.
Motor Action defender, Morris Kadzola, whose profile continues to grow, had given the hosts the lead in the 66th minute when he headed home a ball swung in from a corner by Thembani Masuku
But the former Chicken Inn defender was later carried off the pitch with an injury leaving the Mighty Bulls exposed at back.
His replacement Dominic Mukandi and Moyo were jittery and at the end the hosts paid dearly.
It was really a dramatic finish to the match which was a big yawn in the opening period before Motor Action regrouped in the second half and launched a strong attack.
A dejected Mighty Bulls coach, Joey Antipas, said his players lost concentration and allowed the visitors to come back to life.
“There was lack of concentration in the dying minutes,” said Antipas.
“As soon as Kadzola went out, it wasn’t good and they panicked at the back.
“There is room for improvement and in the second half we did well and had more ball possession.
“Credit should go to Shabanie for fighting until the last minute.”
Shabanie coach, Luke Masomere, was happy to pick a point on the road.
“I am happy we managed to collect a point. I didn’t have strikers in the team as Pervington Zimunya and Tarisai Rukanda are injured,” said Masomere.
“Maziwisa has an injury, he received a knock against Chicken Inn and we couldn’t start him.
“Actually he wasn’t supposed to play but we risked him as I didn’t have any other player to use.
“Half a loaf is better than nothing and the distance is going to be shorter for us going back home.
“I am still worried though as all my strikers are still out for the next game.”
The match, which began at a slow pace, saw Motor Action probing first and forward Norman Maroto’s 10th minute header went wide.
There was little goalmouth action in the first half.
The hosts regrouped after the interval and were attacking purposefully and Masuku’s shot, in the 65th minute, had to be tipped over the bar by Shabanie Mine goalkeeper Roy Muzingi.
And a minute later the Mighty Bulls were rewarded.
Shabanie could have scored in the 71st minute when midfielder, Simon Choenda’s header found Bulls second choice goalie, Ronald Mudimu, equal to the task.
Shabanie’s Caleb Masocha also watched in agony in the 86th minute as his header just missed the target.
In another raid by the visitors, Motor Action defender Godfrey Moyo miscued a kick and failed to clear the ball but they survived.
But their luck ran out and the defender, in a desperate attempt to clear, hacked down Maziwisa in the box as he was going for the kill.
Referee Batsirai Muchenje awarded the Zvishavane side a penalty.
