Several people were injured when a Velvet bus operating under the Zupco franchise lost control this morning, veered off the road and over turned along Kambuzuma Road in Harare.

The bus which was reportedly full was traveling to Mbare from Kuwadzana.

When The Herald Crew visited the scene, police were recording statements.

The injured had already been taken to hospital by well wishers as the ambulance had not arrived at the scene of accident.

One of the accident survivors, Mrs Delilah Nhandara said the driver was not speeding but failed to control the bus resulting in it veering off the road and overturning.
