Bus ploughs into 24 cattle, 18 killed

EIGHTEEN head of cattle were killed when a Tombs Motorways bus coming from Botswana ploughed into a herd of 24 cattle on approaching the 87 kilometre peg along the Harare-Bulawayo road. The accident happened on Saturday between Chegutu and Half Way at Sangongore farm.The bus had eight passengers on board and no one was injured in the accident.

Police spokesperson Chief Superintendent Paul Nyathi confirmed the incident and urged drivers to avoid speeding, especially when passing through farming areas. — ZBCnews online.
