It is business as usual in Masvingo City and other towns and business centres across the province as people ignored calls to embark on illegal protests.
Shops, banks, large supermarkets and other businesses across the province and the provincial capital in the ancient city opened as usual with everyone reporting for work.
Government offices and schools across the province also opened as usual in a huge slap on the faces of rogue elements that called for mass protests.
There was palpable peace in Masvingo City and other small towns as people went about their business as usual.
The normalcy followed assurances given by the Masvingo Provincial Affairs and Devolution Minister Ezra Chadzamira, who urged the people in Masvingo province to ignore illegal calls from malcontents.
Addressing a press conference while flanked by other members of the Joint Operations Command(JOC) on Wednesday, Minister Chadzamira assured businesses and ordinary people that they will be protected to do their day-to-day business.
Minister Chadzamira also warned malcontents and troublemakers that the long arm of the law would decisively deal with them.
