THE business community has been plunged into mourning following the untimely death of the Matabeleland region Confederation of Zimbabwe Industries vice president, Mr Clive Oxden-Willows on Thursday.
Industrialist and chief executive officer of United Refineries Limited Group, Mr Busisa Moyo, announced the news via his X account.
“It is with profound sadness that we have come know of the passing of Mr Clive Oxden-Willows of Ref Air late yesterday (Thursday). Clive was our Vice President for the Matabeleland Chamber of Industries.
Mr Oxden Willows has been at the forefront of improving business climate,” posted Mr Moyo.
Commenting further on his Facebook page, Mr Moyo said the late Oxden-Willows was a hard-nosed advocate for the ease of doing business and invested a significant amount of time and money into improving business conditions and was always responsive when business was besieged with adverse policies at national and municipal level.
“He refused to be swayed by any other motive except that of friendly, low cost and progressive policies.
We have lost a formidable advocate and voice as the business community where very few care and label the remnants of industry as “cry babies”! May the Lord bring immense comfort to Jackie, Brett, Nigel, Karen and Glen. Your father was a hero to us and he made a difference,” wrote Mr Moyo.
