Buyers converge for Sanganai/Hlanganani expo

MORE than 20 buyers are in the country for the Sanganai/Hlanganani World Tourism Expo which runs from tomorrow to September 14 in Bulawayo.

The buyers from China, Japan, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, the US, Germany and Italy were yesterday hosted in Hwange by the Zimbabwe Tourism Authority (ZTA) and the Rainbow Tourism Group (RTG).

Some of the wild animals they enjoyed seeing included lions, elephants, zebras, wild dogs, giraffes, crocodiles, warthogs, buffaloes and kudus, among others.

From Hwange, the buyers will proceed to the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF) Grounds in Bulawayo tomorrow for the Sanganai/Hlanganani World Tourism Expo.

The two-day expo will run under the theme, “Tourism and Peace”, and will see regional and international buyers as well as investors, taking part.

Rainbow Tourism Group group corporate affairs and quality manager, Ms Pride Khumbula, said the main reason for the tour was to familiarise the buyers with tourist destinations in Zimbabwe.
