SOUTH Africa-based Zimbabwean heavyweight pugilist Elvis Moyo is ready to take his mixed martial arts fights to nine when he takes on British fighter Stuart Austin at Sun City in Rustenburg, South Africa, tonight.
The Zimbabwean heavyweight pugilist, also known as the Bulawayo Bomber, last fought in March when he knocked out Mike Vermeulen at Carnival City in Johannesburg to register his eighth mixed martial arts win from 12 bouts.
“I’m ready to knock out Austin. I’ve been waiting for this moment for a while and I’m going to show people why I deserve another shot at a title fight. I know I’m the best heavyweight that this sport has ever seen and I shall walk the talk tomorrow night,” said Moyo.
The potentially explosive Extreme Fighting Championship (EFC) Africa 61 bill will be beamed across the continent by Kwese TV.
Moyo’s last defeat was in a title fight against Andrew van Zyl in October 2016. He recovered from that defeat to knock out Vermeulen in two minutes 40 seconds in March this year.
Austin has 11 career wins and three defeats. The Briton last fought in October 2016 when he knocked out Nills van Noord in the UK. Austin last defeat was to Mark Godbeer on May 14, 2016. — @ZililoR
