ALL is set for the Bulawayo churches soccer tournament to be held at Ndlovu Youth Centre in Tshabalala today.
Four teams, Family of Christ in the Nation Church, Apostolic Faith Mission (AFM) Tshabalala, New Life for All Church from Nkulumane and Dominion Ministries also from Nkulumane will be vying for the championship.
Winners will walk away with a goat while losing finalists and third placed team will get cash prizes.
“The aim of the competition is to socialise as churches. We are not mainly concerned on who is the best but we want our youths to interact as brethren.
“In churches we preach about unity and the other way of bringing people together is through sport,” said one of the event organisers Thomas Mawire.
“We therefore invite all soccer fans to come and witness our youths in action as they battle for the main prize.
“People must expect great matches because in our churches there are talented youngsters who are good in soccer but did not take it as a profession,” said Mawire.
The churches had another tournament in August where four teams faced off in a one day tournament.
New Life for All church walked away with a trophy after shrugging off stiff competition from Zimbabwe Assemblies of God in Africa (ZAOGA) FIF, Family of Christ Church and Transformation Centre.
The games will begin at 9AM — @khumzallen.
