Byo International Art Fair about to explode

THE inaugural Bulawayo International Art Fair (BIAF), will be held next month at the National Art Gallery of Zimbabwe in Bulawayo.

Themed “Our Kids need heroes” the festival that will be held from August 11 to 13, aims to bring diversity and appreciation of the arts sector in Bulawayo, while providing a platform for artists to network with the corporate world.

The BIAF will see music concerts, sidewalk stalls, a fashion show and dance workshops for children being held. Entertainment will be provided by Antivirus Dance Crew, Mzoe7, Guluva 7, Berry Changa and Cal_Vin among others.

Founder of the art fair Mondliwethu Nkala said they were ready to bring new vibe to the artistic and creative world in Bulawayo.

“This is an effort to embrace the vision of bringing on board local emerging and established artists.  We’re also inviting entries for exhibitions,” said Nkala.

“The fair is set to pave the way for local rising artists to showcase their products, talent to Zimbabwe and the world at large. Come and enjoy the artistic hospitality of the City of Kings and Queens,” said Nkala.
